Pandemic Illness: The H1N1 Influenza Virus

Introduction:This course is designed for first responders, including law enforcement officers. When a disaster strikes, the burden of responding to a pandemic influenza falls primarily on first responders, such as emergency medical service personnel, law enforcement officers, public health officials, and healthcare workers. In order to lessen disastrous effects caused by influenza pandemic, first responders and emergency services personnel must have the knowledge and skills to implement sound and valid disease-control measures and implement activities to ensure a sustainable medical healthcare system
